Mommy's Day Out!

Soooo yesterday my mom took Brooklyn to my grandparents house for the night. This is the first time she has ever spent the night away from me. With the time I had to myself I took naps, watched some movies, went out to eat and caught a late show at the theater. I have really enjoyed my time but I REALL MISS my baby. I will be so happy to see her when they get here. That is alll that I have to say but I do want to make note of this very special occassion that I'm sure will happen again someday, just not sure when.

STROLLERS!!!!!

So with another baby coming sooner than later I have been looking into double strollers which are pretty much a pain in my ass. I was out walking in the mall and I saw a couple with a newborn and a toddler. It was kinda cool. The newborn was in a seat (not a carrier) closer to the floor facing mom and the toddler was in a seat closer to mom facing the world. The only problem I have with this system is that Brooklyn's feet will be in baby's face. It looked lightweight- a plus but really long- minus. I have been searching and searching but I can't find that one dangged stroller and I didn't write the name of it down. Babies R Us has plenty of strollers and they have some range in price. These are my favorites so far regardless of price:

Happy Valentine's Day!

So today is Valentine's Day and I wanted to take some pictures so that I could send them out via email as a e-card. So with that I bought a nice pink shirt from Wally World (WalMart) and some tutu's from (Target) from the dollar spot. However, what I thought would look great together turned out that it didn't (which if you know me makes total sense). So she ended up in a regular ole' undershirt with her cute Valentine's bib! It took a few tries but we finally got the perfect picture.

I also got her the cutest gift - Elmo's Fuzzy Valentine! It was awesome and she loved it! All in all today turned out pretty great. We had a great dinner and she was sleep by 9. Perfect! Thank God for a great Valentine's Day for mommy.

Mommy and Me Class

So we went to a Mommy and Me class today. I've been looking for a class or playgroup for us to go to and I finally found one!!! I'm super excited about it. Brooklyn seemed to have a lot of fun today. There was a Gymboree person there with all kinds of toys to play with. There was a slide that Brooklyn liked a lot and a tunnel that we never made it to before it was put away. I was wondering how she would do with that since that's what I want to get her for her birthday. She was very social and went around to all of the other kiddos even though they didn't seem very interested in her. She was the only kid to sing and dance during the songs and she really liked the parachute they had. I unfortunately didn't have the camera or the video camera out because I was too busy making sure she wasn't man handling the other babies. She is a little rough.

She has two more teeth coming in at the top. She will have six teeth before she turns 1! I can't believe it. She's growing up sooo fast. This year has flown by. In other news I was finally smart enough to take a picture of the two of us together. My cousins say we look like twins what do you think?

Party Fever!

Brooklyn was born in March and I have been planning since December. I am completely obsessed. I have in the past few days been shopping for said party and I went crazy. I went to the dollar store, you know the store where everything's a dollar, and spent $50! That is just nuts. I also got the ears from party city and now I'm going to get going on putting the bows on them for the girls that come to the party!

I have started making the goodie bags for everyone already. I have written names and put stickers on the bags and I've even started filling them!

My next plan is to make the banner for the "photo booth" I fully intend to have. I'm so excited. I will keep you posted on the makings of the party planning!
